above...drastic sweep thinger bobber...water run off flat area and wrap this rail ...no hard edge except on tailblock...really big single concave towards the front
this is a finless design ive been thinking of for a while and finally had the opportunity to do. cut out of a +4" blank gave me enough room to shape a massive concave from the nose to ahead of the back foot. flat on the tail with a really drastic sweep onto the rails . the back foot placement is actually below the rail line. in theory this will create lift in the front and push the tail back allowing the lowered foot placement to put enough pressure on the rails that should have the water wrapping around it to create hold. ???? if it is a pooper in the water it should make a fun sled in the winter.
Well - is it a pooper in the water? We have a great sledding yard!! We could use a good sojourner sled.
ReplyDeleteit isnt a pooper! so i will have to get into sled design later, but i am making some changes to the bottom. added or actually subtracted some foam for a deep channel system. busy at the shop with real work but im trying to sqeeze the time to work on these "fun" creations when i can.
